Job summary

PAC T (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) in Mississauga is seeking an Environmental Inspector to ensure construction activities comply with environmental regulations and EMPs. The role supports sustainable practice while minimizing impacts across project sites.

Requirements include a diploma or degree in environmental science/engineering, 3–5+ years in environmental inspection, and knowledge of Ontario regulations. CEP asset and ESC certification are considered as assets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• CEP or Erosion & Sediment Control certification is an asset.
• 3–5+ years environmental inspection experience in construction, infra or large projects.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario regulations (MECP, ECA).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with regulations and permits.
• Monitor EMPs, ESC measures, and Spill Prevention Plans for sites.
• Identify environmental risks, non-compliance issues, and impacts to soil, air, water, wildlife.
• Prepare inspection reports with observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Maintain environmental logs and regulatory documentation for audits.
• Support environmental audits and regulatory inspections.
• Respond to incidents (spill, discharges, wildlife disturbances) and coordinate remediation.
