AECOM is seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector/Monitor in Sudbury, ON, to support field construction environmental compliance across Northern Ontario. Qualifications

• Requires post-secondary degree or diploma in environmental science, environmental technology, biology, ecology, natural resources or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in environmental inspection, construction monitoring or environmental compliance.
• Experience at active construction sites and interpreting environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental compliance inspections at active construction sites and manage inspection areas.
• Review environmental management plans, permits, approvals, and mitigation requirements.
• Verify implementation and effectiveness of mitigation measures during construction.
• Inspect erosion and sediment controls, watercourses, wetlands and access roads.
• Document findings and track corrective actions through closure.
• Coordinate with specialists when additional expertise is needed.
