Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are responsible for the design-build and financing of the civil works and tunnel for the Ontario Line South project.

As part of the Ontario Transit Group, we are mobilizing our design and construction teams to carry out the main works under the awarded contract. The civil works and tunnel contract is scheduled for completion by 2030.

The project contributes to the economic development of Ontario, with an estimated 1,500 jobs created at peak activity.

Project scope:

• A six-kilometre tunnel and associated excavation works from Exhibition Station to the Don Yard portal.
• Stations include:
• 1 surface-level station at Exhibition Station (GO Transit infrastructure)
• 2 underground stations at Osgoode and Queen
• 4 new underground stations: King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown

We seek a motivated, detail-oriented candidate for a VIE position to join our team working on the Ontario Transit Group (OTG) project.

The VIE will supervise and coordinate civil works at one station, involving on-site supervision, productivity and cost tracking, reviewing contract documents, schedule follow-up, and stakeholder liaison.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager with daily site activities.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager on safety inspections and briefings.
• Manage subcontractor coordination and construction schedule tracking.
• Conduct daily inspections (safety, progress, environmental).
• Provide data and analysis on ongoing works to station management.
• Review construction drawings and coordinate modifications.
• Monitor station progress and costs.
• Report for monthly project close-out.
• Assist with construction drawings and liaise with internal and external teams.
• Perform administrative tasks and adapt to evolving environments.

Minimum requirements:

• Experience in construction sector.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and documents.
• Strong skills in MS Excel, Word, and Project.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work under pressure.
• Flexible working hours when needed.
• Teamwork capability.
