Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are responsible for the Design-Build and financing of the Civil Works and Tunnel for the Ontario Line South project.

As part of the Ontario Transit Group, we are mobilizing our design and construction teams to carry out the main works under the awarded contract. The Civil Works / Tunnel contract is scheduled for completion by 2030.

The project contributes to the economic development of the Province of Ontario, with an estimated 1,500 jobs created at the peak of activity.

Project scope:

1. A six-kilometre tunnel and associated excavation works, from Exhibition Station to the Don Yard portal.
2. Stations: 1 surface-level station at Exhibition Station, 2 underground stations at Osgoode and Queen, and 4 new underground stations at King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented candidate for a VIE position to join our Ontario Transit Group (OTG) project team.

The VIE will supervise and coordinate civil works at one of the stations, involving on-site supervision, productivity, costs, progress tracking, reviewing contract documents, schedule follow-up, and stakeholder liaison.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the Project Manager with daily site activities.
2. Coordinate with Site Manager on safety inspections and daily briefings.
3. Manage subcontractor coordination and construction schedule.
4. Conduct site inspections regarding safety, progress, and environment.
5. Provide data and analysis to station management.
6. Review drawings, coordinate with design office, and track modifications.
7. Monitor progress and costs.
8. Report for project close-out.
9. Assist with construction drawings and liaise with internal and external teams.
10. Perform administrative tasks and adapt to evolving environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in construction sector.
• Ability to read construction plans and documents.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Project.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working under pressure.
