Job summary

SteinbachOnline is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day construction execution on mid-sized projects. You will coordinate trades, suppliers, materials, and equipment while focusing on safety, quality, scheduling, and productivity.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, interpreting drawings and specs, and maintaining communication with the project team to keep work moving forward.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience, supervising active sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive.
• Strong leadership and ability to coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
• Willing to travel/work across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northwestern Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities on site, coordinating trades, suppliers, materials, and equipment to maintain the construction schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel, communicating expectations and site requirements to maintain productivity.
• Monitor construction progress against schedules, drawings, and specifications, ensuring materials and information are available when needed.
• Order and coordinate delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment required for construction.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship through regular site inspections and timely correction of deficiencies.
• Perform regular quality-control inspections to ensure work complies with drawings and manufacturer requirements.
• Proactively identify and address site issues, conflicts, and potential delays, working with the Project Manager to keep work moving forward.
• Provide leadership and direction to subcontractors and site personnel, fostering a professional, organized, accountable, and productive work environment.
