Job summary

Buttcon is seeking a Site Support role to assist the Superintendent in coordinating daily construction activities on Ottawa-area projects. You will help with scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring plans are followed across institutional and residential builds.

The position requires reading blueprints, coordinating trades, and enforcing safety programs. We value teamwork and provide development opportunities within a growing Canadian contractor.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Leadership qualities with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
• Experience with modular construction is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Superintendent in planning, organizing and coordinating daily construction activities.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and controlling projects from start to finish per schedule, specs, and budget.
• Collaborate with the project team to understand goals, specifications, and timelines; review plans for accurate implementation on site.
• Ensure site safety programs and related compliance are followed and maintained.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, workers and vendors to meet project plans and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project documentation.
