Alstom in Toronto, ON is seeking a Signalling Installation Team Lead to oversee on-site signalling installation activities, working with design, site operations and subcontractors. This role will focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery for Canada's busiest public transit system.

You’ll play a pivotal role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada's busiest public transit system by contributing to the On-Corridor Works project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design, site operations, and subcontractors), ensure quality installation designs, and support the successful delivery of installation activities and much more.
You’ll specifically be responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating all on-site signalling installation activities, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical requirements, project timelines, as well as regulatory standards.

Enforcing strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and conducting toolbox talks and risk assessments
Overseeing subcontractors for the installation of signal equipment, such as signals, ETCS (European Train Control Solution) equipment, secondary cable containment, cables, and bungalows
Inspecting and verifying the quality of installations and materials used
Tracking and reporting daily/weekly/monthly progress and updating site logs
Maintaining accurate records of installation activities, test results, and site changes
Liaising with installation engineering, systems integration, and quality teams to resolve site issues

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Railway Systems, or a related technical field recommended
At least 5 years experience in the railway industry; construction, maintenance, and/or testing experience preferred
Knowledge of technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals
Familiarity with surveying, leveling, setting out works, and working at heights
A certification in site safety training (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid) and railway systems/safety certification (CROR - Canadian Rail Operating Rules, PTS - Personal Track Safety)
Valid driver's license

The expected compensation for this role is $70,240 – $92,190 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
