Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an Ironworker Foreperson to lead shutdowns and turnarounds across Alberta’s industrial facilities. You will direct journeyperson crews, uphold safety, and ensure schedules are met in high-intensity, time-sensitive environments.

The role requires a Journeyperson Ironworker certification and 3–5 years of foreman experience, with proven ability to manage outages in oil & gas or heavy industry. Travel is provided and camp accommodations are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a Journeyperson Ironworker certification.
• 3–5 years in a foreman role preferred.
• Experience with shutdowns/turnarounds in oil & gas or heavy industry is essential.
• Ability to work long shifts and adapt to urgent timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise ironworkers during shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Provide direction and daily safety oversight to Journeypersons and Apprentices.
• Coordinate prevention maintenance and scheduling with supervision.
• Ensure safety and compliance on all worksites.
• Communicate priorities and sequencing with foremen and project leaders.
• Complete daily paperwork and toolbox talks.
• Maintain productivity and quality on extended shifts and tight deadlines.
• Mentor new staff and oversee job site documentation.
