Job summary

Ledcor is seeking Apprentice and Journeyperson Ironworkers to support major shutdowns and turnarounds across Alberta’s industrial facilities. This fast-paced, high-intensity work emphasizes precision, teamwork, and safety as you execute structural repairs, equipment installations, and critical path tasks.

The roles require a valid ironworker certification and experience in shutdowns or outages in oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.

Qualifications

Registered Apprentice or Journeyperson Ironworker certification.
Experience in shutdowns, turnarounds, or outage maintenance in oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.
Strong skills in rigging, structural steel installation, and equipment setting.

Responsibilities

Execute shutdown and turnaround scopes including structural repairs, steel installation, retrofits, and equipment setting.
Perform rigging, hoisting, and alignment of structural components and mechanical equipment.
Complete bolt-up, torquing, and connection work to meet outage specifications.
Interpret drawings, blueprints, and work packages to ensure accurate execution.
Support critical path work while adapting to shifting priorities and tight timelines.
Work within permit systems, lift plans, and safety procedures including LOTO requirements.
Maintain productivity and quality during extended shifts and compressed outage schedules.
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
