Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking Seasonal Class 1 and Class 3 Drivers/Operators for temporary turnaround work, supporting projects with 100% travel. Training starts in August with August–November 2026 projects, with potential to join permanently.

Earn $30–$32/hour, with travel and accommodations provided. On-the-job training is offered and Health and Safety is a top priority. Camp/hotel lodging is provided during travel.

Qualifications

• Experienced driving manual transmissions (13 & 18 speed) with a valid Class 1 or 3 Drivers License.
• Provide a 5-year driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerits.
• Must successfully complete a Clean Harbors’ driver evaluation.
• Safety tickets preferred (i.e., H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space Entry).
• Common Safety Orientation required prior to onboarding.
• Previous Vacuum Truck and/or High-Pressure unit operating experience preferred.
• Willing to travel for extended periods of time and work 8–13-hour shifts.
• Flexibility to work day shift or night shift as required.
• Previous shutdown/turnaround experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate, drive and stage various manual transmission units (13 & 18 speed, Class 1/3).
• Operate high‑pressure water blasting tools and equipment up to 40K PSI.
• Maintain and certify Hours of Service in an ELD system (Samsara).
• Work in confined spaces with supplied air and may transport hazardous goods.
• Perform general labor duties using hand/power tools.
• Collaborate with clients, co-workers and Supervisors.

Flight to Edmonton for paid training, then travel to the job site, and then a flight home at the end of the job are provided. There will be no travel home for shift rotations.

Seasonal Class 1 and Class 3 Drivers/Operators

Clean Harbors is looking for Seasonal Class 1 and Class 3 Drivers/Operators to join our turnaround team on a temporary basis. This position requires the candidate to safely operate, drive, and maintain Manual Transmission (13 or 18 speed) Class 1 or Class 3 units, such as vacuum, combo, and water trucks.

You would be supporting projects that require 100% travel. Availability is necessary for training starting in August with projects spanning August to November 2026 with the potential to join our team in a permanent role.

• Operate, drive and stage various manual transmission units (i.e., High-Pressure, Hydrovac, Combo and Vac).
• Operate various high-pressure water blasting tools and equipment at pressures up to 40K PSI.
• Maintain and certify Hours of Service by completing logs in an ELD system (Samsara).
• Work in confined spaces such as vessels and tanks under supplied air and may transport hazardous goods.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned, including the use of hand/power tools.
• Work as part of a team with Clients, Co-workers & Supervisors.
