Armour Logistics is seeking a dependable Shunt Driver (Class 1) for day shift terminal operations in Moncton, NB. You will coordinate trailer movements, perform shunting, and support safe, on-time dispatch in a fast-paced terminal environment.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license with a clean abstract, at least two years of tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to work independently. Training and opportunities for growth are provided, with competitive pay and a supportive dispatch

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license with no restrictions.
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks.
• Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer driving.
• Strong understanding of yard safety, trailer handling, and backing skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced terminal environment.
• Experience with freight terminals, dock operations, or yard management systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform shunting duties including trailer spotting, swaps, and yard coordination.
• Move equipment between loading docks, yard lanes, and designated staging areas.
• Ensure accurate trailer placement to support smooth freight flow and on-time dispatch.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors and report defects promptly.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, dock staff, and operations teams to support daily scheduling.
• Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working order.

What You'll Do:
