Job Title: Short Order Cook

Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent, minimum 40 hours per week

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the production schedule, and prepare individual ingredients for kitchen and panning in accordance with batch sheets within the given time frame
  • Assess the state of readiness of the expediting station
  • Check the cleanliness of equipment’s and tools in assembly area
  • Ensure proper sanitation using appropriate chemicals designated for different allergens used in the area
  • Comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor expiry dates of raw materials
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and other functions as required
  • Complete all paperwork involved to day-to-day operations
  • Report all equipment problems, maintenance issues, violations or substandard practices to supervisor immediately upon encountering a problem
  • Assume full responsibility for quality of products

Job Requirements:

o High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Requirements:

o At least 1 year experience in a food manufacturing environment

o Ability to complete manual checklists and follow recipe specifications

o Experience in working with a RFID scanner

o Able to lift up to 33 lbs on regular basis.

o Continuous standing for duration of shift

o Bending, pulling and pushing required

o Ability to work with temperature extremes and food odours

o Ability to manually handle food allergens
