Qualifications

• Experience supervising a mechanic shop with rotational workers.
• Mechanical experience with drilling equipment.
• Red Seal Trade would be considered an asset.
• First Aid with CPR Level C would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create a respectful, open shop environment and coordinate staff.
• Develop weekly schedules for the Saskatoon shop workload.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance using the standard work-order system.
• Help develop preventative maintenance with the Regional Coordinator.
• Participate in equipment inspections for performance and compliance.
• Assist mechanics in diagnosing faults to determine repairs.
• Ensure safe working conditions are observed.
• Supervise shop personnel, apprentices and laborers.
• Coordinate work across Operations, EHS& T, Regional Planner, Engineering, Warehouse.
• Requisition parts, materials and supplies.
• Resolve problems and propose measures to improve productivity.
