Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join its Saskatoon, SK team. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair drilling equipment, ensuring performance meets regulatory specs. A Red Seal trade certification and apprenticeship completion are required.

Applicants should have 5–10 years in the trade, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel or work outdoors and in a shop environment. Boart Longyear offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Trade Certification (Red Seal) required.
• Completion of the apprenticeship program.
• 5-10 years of experience in the trade.
• Valid driver's license; travel as required.
• Willing to work outside and/or in a shop environment.
• Standard First Aid Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for faults and perform repairs.
• Assemble, adjust, and replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance per specs.
• Maintain safety standards and coordinate work with other departments.
• Requisition parts and materials as needed.

Education

Trade Certification (Red Seal)

Apprenticeship completion

5-10 years of experience in the trade
