Job summary

The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG) in Calgary is seeking a Shop Manager to lead our on-site fleet repair and maintenance team, driving operational excellence and ensuring high safety and quality standards.

This role supervises staff, coordinates workflow, and collaborates with Operations and HR to maintain a productive, positive shop environment. Leadership, service mindset, and timely repairs are essential.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and supporting employees. Scheduling work, approving holidays, monitor staffing levels.
  • Control and manage workflow in the shop.
  • Manage standard repair times, prioritize required repairs, and oversee work quality.
  • Communicating and coordinating any equipment needed in the shop with Operations.
  • Participating in employee relations, such as dispute resolution, discipline, and communications in conjunction with leadership and human resources.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive work environment.

Join our team as Calgary Shop Manager—an excellent opportunity for an experienced or up and coming fleet repair and maintenance leader to make an impact, support operational excellence, and lead a skilled shop team.

Our shop is open 7 days a week, so while this is generally a Monday to Friday role on site, at times, the Shop Manager will need to be onsite outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities
