Our Machinist is responsible for the custom repair and restoration of mechanical parts and components relating to machinery repair in the workshops of the Toromont Reman division.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe work and environmentally sound behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
• Be responsible for manufacturing hydraulic cylinders
• Perform custom repair and restoration of mechanical parts and components relating to machinery repair
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and perform basic maintenance functions
• Restore damaged steel and cast iron components by welding, line boring, disassembling, and assembling related components
• Maintain an inventory of materials used for fabrication processes and account for various projects based on usage

Must-haves for this role:

• A certificate of Qualification as a General Machinist
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years as a General Machinist in a custom or tool room environment with primary experience in machinery component repair and rebuild
