Job summary

Element Technical Services is seeking a Shop Hand for our Carlyle, SK operations. The role supports the Shop Foreman and Operations Manager, with hours Monday to Friday, 8AM–5PM, and duties including warehouse tasks and material movement.

The position requires forklift/ skid steer operation, independent work ability, and a valid Class 5 license. Benefits include signing bonus and competitive hourly wage, with potential for PT or FT employment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the industry is an asset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Capable of operating a forklift and skid steer.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse duties and shipping/receiving.
• Pull materials from stock as requested and move stock as needed.
• Move/rearrange and restock inventory; maintain shop cleanliness.
• Operate equipment safely and assist with parts pickups/drops.

Reports to: Directly: Shop Foreman

Indirectly: Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• General warehouse duties;
• Shipping and receiving;
• Pull materials from stock as requested;
• Move stock around by hand or forklift;
• Move/rearrange, restock inventory as necessary
• Maintain cleanliness in shop area;
• Sweeping, mopping floors
• Pickup/drop off parts as needed;
• Other related duties as required;

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Knowledge of industry an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team player, ability to take direction, good communication skills
• Able to operate a forklift, skid steer
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driving record

The Shop Hand position is based in our operations office located in Carlyle, SK. The position will be Part-Time, or Full-Time, depending on the application. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM.
