Job summary

Amico is seeking a 310T licensed Shop Foreman to support our Cambridge area operations and projects. The role is based in our Cambridge shop and involves coordinating and mentoring the repair of construction equipment, vehicles, attachments, and support gear across the Amico fleet.

You will lead a team to work safely and efficiently, develop schedules with service managers, diagnose hydraulic, electrical or mechanical issues, and ensure repairs are completed to high quality and on time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, trucks or trailers.

Amico is currently seeking a 310T licensed Shop Foreman to support our Cambridge area operations and projects.

Amico is currently seeking a 310T licensed Shop Foreman to support our Cambridge area operations and projects.

The successful candidate will work in our Cambridge shop and will be responsible for coordinating/mentoring on the repairs of the various construction equipment, vehicles, attachments and support equipment in the Amico fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure work is being performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Amico's health and safety standards and policies.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and training for apprentices and shop technicians.
  • Communicate daily with Shop Service Manager & Shop Coordinator to maintain repair & maintenance schedules and timely parts ordering.
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment to ensure maximum uptime/productivity for the Amico Fleet as issues are reported by the field operations.
  • Maintain quality workmanship and repair equipment in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Accurately update and complete service work orders in a timely fashion with details of the repairs completed.
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and repair various hydraulic, electrical or mechanical issues.
  • Perform tests and ensure that repairs have been completed effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, trucks and trailers in the field and/or shop.
  • 310T license (mandatory) and 421A license (ideal)
  • Previous experience in a shop leadership role promoting teamwork and efficiency while promoting Amico's safe work practices.
  • Organized team leader with the ability to work with a sense of urgency and the ability to pivot based on equipment requirements to support Amico's construction team.
  • Working knowledge of cutting, welding and fabrication.
  • Willing to work flexible shifts subject to the schedule of Amico's field operations.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with the fleet operations and support team.
  • Experience working with various makes and models of construction and support equipment.
  • Experience utilizing computer applications, tablet/computer and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Valid G class driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
