Job summary

Amico Major Projects Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee Ontario-based projects. You will coordinate field operations, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will bring strong contract knowledge, independence, problem-solving and team leadership to deliver complex infrastructure projects on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete projects on time, within budget and within scope.
• Integrate Amico safety program into all site plans and keep safety records.
• Promote a productive team environment within Amico and affiliates.
• Direct field operations to deliver projects per schedules, budgets, safety and risk.
• Assist with creation and review of subcontractor scopes of work and evaluations.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor the project team.
• Develop and drive the construction schedule with the project team.
• Ensure completion dates and milestones meet budget and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with trades to ensure performance, productivity, quality and safety.
• Maintain daily site records and safety documentation.
• Collaborate with the project manager and project team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and completing specific projects on time, within budget, and within scope.

Responsibilities

• WorkingwiththeprojectmanagertoensureimplementationofAmico'ssafetyprogram,includingintegratingthesafetyprogramintoallsiteplansandproceduresandadheringtoallsafetyandrecord-keepingrequirements.
• Promoteandmaintainaproductive"team"workingenvironmentwithinAmicoandaffiliatedCorporations.
• Directfieldoperationsinthedeliveryofprojectsbyadheringtoschedules,budgets,safety,andrisk.
• Assistwiththecreationof andreviewofsubcontractorscopesofworkandevaluations.
• Supervising,directing,coaching,training,andmentoringtheprojectteam.
• Developinganddrivingtheconstructionscheduleinconjunctionwiththeprojectteam.
• Ensuringthatcompletiondatesandmilestonesaremetwhileremainingcompliantwithbudgetandqualitystandards.
• Communicatingeffectivelywithtradesandensuringthatperformance,productivity,quality,andsafetyrequirementsaremet.
• Maintaindailysiterecordsandsafetydocumentation.
• Consistentlycollaboratingwithconstruction/projectmanagerandprojectteam.
