Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. is seeking a Shipping Loader Operator at the Cawthra Depot in Mississauga. You will operate wheel loaders and other equipment to load customer vehicles with aggregate while following Amrize's safety policies and best practices.

The role requires a Canadian secondary school diploma, a valid G license, and loader operator experience. Training in First Aid, LOTOTO, and mobile equipment is preferred.

About The Role

Amrize is seeking a safe, reliable, motivated, and flexible individual to join our team as a Shipping Loader Operator at our Cawthra Depot in Mississauga. The Shipping Loader Operator will operate mobile equipment (wheel loader) to load customer vehicles (traxaxle dump trucks, trailers.) with aggregate in accordance with Amrize's Best Practices and Policies as well as perform all administration related to the equipment's operation.

What You'll Accomplish

• Maintain the Cawthra Depot in accordance with Amrize's Best Practices and Policies.
• Operate equipment such as CAT 980, CAT 908, and forklifts to load customer vehicles, manage the concrete rubble pile, and assist with internal crushing crew tasks.
• Ensure the site meets or exceeds all Amrize and Regulatory environmental and safety guidelines, which may include operating a water truck and/or motorized sweeper.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment as part of the preventative maintenance program.
• Assisting the Portable Crushing team with stockpiling material, transporting rubble, and clean up around the work area.
• The loader operator will also be in charge of managing the concrete rubble stockpile to ensure that the pile is safe at all times, and providing sufficient room for customers to dump rubble.
• Work at other depots within the GTA as required (travel mileage will be compensated).
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Required Work Experience: Loader Operator experience is required
• Required Training/Certifications: Valid "G" license is required, First Aid, LOTOTO, Specific mobile equipment training, Surface Miner Courses are an asset
• Required Technical Skills: Mechanical aptitude, Computer literacy
• Travel Requirements: Employee will be asked to assist at other depots within the GTA as required. Travel mileage will be compensated. Hours may vary at different locations from home base. Night and weekend work may be required for salt shifts over the winter season on a rotational basis.

Additional Requirements

• Experience managing concrete rubble pile is an asset, ability to perform manual labor that includes heavy lifting, bending, and twisting while being indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
