Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. is seeking a Face Loader Operator to safely operate loaders used to transport aggregates and materials on site in Brockville.

You will perform daily inspections, maintain clean equipment, and coordinate with production, shipping, and safety teams to ensure efficient, safe operations. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of loader experience, 2–3 years in construction, and a valid driver’s license; road materials knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in construction industry.
  • 1–2 years’ Loader experience required.
  • Knowledge of Loader and heavy equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of road construction materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate loader safely and efficiently on-site.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Load materials onto delivery trucks to ensure timely turns.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean for visibility and control.
  • Coordinate with production, shipping, safety and environmental staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader. This position operates loaders equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stock pile aggregates.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Completes and reports detailed daily equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintains cleanliness inside and outside of equipment to ensure optimal visibility and control.
  • Loads material on to customer delivery trucks in a timely manner to prioritize truck turn around times and customer satisfaction.
  • Organizes and maintains quarry roads, berms and other site maintenance items.
  • Organizes and maintains well-structured and blended stockpiles, reducing cross-contamination and increasing loader efficiency.
  • Works closely with production, shipping, safety, and environmental staff to ensure aligned operations.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities in equipment use or material handling.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience within the construction industry.
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience operating a Loader is required.
  • Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of Loader and other heavy equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of road construction materials is an asset.
  • Travel Requirements: Potentially within the region.
Additional Requirements:
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
