Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions in Ontario, Canada, is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts and move materials within our facility on 12-hour continental rotating shifts, days and nights. You will follow safety protocols, load, unload, and transport goods, perform routine equipment inspections, work as part of a team, and support production with timely material supply.

Starting pay is $24.46/hr, with company-paid life, health and dental benefits, RRSP match, training, uniforms

Qualifications

• Previous forklift or heavy equipment experience an asset.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Demonstrate spirit of team work and collaboration with the flexibility to adapt to various tasks.
• Complete tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, according to established safety and operational guidelines.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Load, unload, and transport finished goods and materials within facility.
• Perform routine inspections on forklifts and other equipment.
• Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage.
• Ensure goods are properly handled, stacked, and stored to maintain quality.
• Work as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
• Conduct weekly line sanitation as scheduled.
• Supply production lines with all raw materials for production as required.
• Transfer all finished product from the line and put into proper storage area.
• Assist online as needed throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, according to established safety and operational guidelines.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes understanding and following safety regulations, such as OSHA guidelines.
• Load, unload, and transport finished goods and materials within facility. This may involve lifting, stacking, and positioning materials in storage racks or on pallets.
• Perform routine inspections on forklifts and other equipment. Report any malfunctions, defects, or maintenance needs to maintenance personnel or supervisors.
• Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage.
• Ensure that goods are properly handled, stacked, and stored to maintain their quality.
• Work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff to achieve operational goals and objectives.
• Conduct weekly line sanitation as scheduled.
• Supply production lines line with all raw materials for production as required.
• Transfer all finished product from the line and put into proper storage area.
• Assist online as needed throughout the shift.

Education/Skills/Experience Required

• Previous Forklift or Heavy Equipment experience an asset

Pay Rate:

$24.46/hr to start
