Job summary

Multiple Employers in Ontario seek a Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage inbound and outbound materials, ensuring accurate receiving, proper labeling, and compliant shipping to retailers across the province.

You will operate forklifts, use ERP/WMS systems, maintain FIFO and traceability, and support a fast-paced meat production environment while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year forklift operating experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years shipping/receiving, warehouse, logistics, or food production experience (preferred).
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems and scan guns.
• Knowledge of BOLs, inventory reconciliation, FIFO, and traceability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold/refrigerated environments.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify inbound raw meat and materials.
• Record weights, lot codes, supplier details, and temperatures.
• Stage and supply raw materials to production lines.
• Operate forklifts, scan guns, and ERP/WMS systems.
• Maintain FIFO, lot control, and real-time inventory accuracy.
• Prepare, label, weigh, and verify outbound shipments.
• Generate and review Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation.
• Load trucks according to load plans and verify counts and lot codes.
• Maintain pallet integrity, wrapping standards, and load stability.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
• Support sanitation, equipment cleaning, and dock/yard organization.
• Assemble packaging materials and conduct supply counts.
• Assist with general warehouse and plant support tasks.

About the Role

The Shipping & Receiving Associate manages the flow of materials, products, and documentation across inbound receiving, production supply, and outbound shipping. You'll support production efficiency, maintain strict inventory and traceability standards, and ensure all shipments meet customer and regulatory requirements.
