Job summary

Sunrise Soya Foods is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to ensure accurate order picking and timely loading of goods. The role supports raw material receipt, finished goods, and maintenance supplies, using WMS for receiving activities and assisting production lines as needed.

The position is full-time, with morning and afternoon shifts in Delta, BC. Candidates should have at least 1 year in a warehouse, a forklift certification, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.
• Certified forklift operator with sit-down counterbalance.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and on time for scheduled deliveries.
• Ensure orders are stable, labeled and shrink-wrapped.
• Load/unload trucks/trailers and operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Follow Food Safe, HACCP, SQF, GMP standards and SOPs.
• Assist in inventory counts and maintain a clean, organized warehouse.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are picked accurately and safely loaded onto trucks as scheduled. The incumbent is also responsible for receiving raw materials, components, finished goods, and maintenance supplies as required and utilizing WMS for all receiving activities in addition to supporting the production lines as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all customer orders are picked accurately and timely to meet scheduled delivery times
• Ensures all orders are stable, properly labelled and shrink-wrapped.
• Loading/unloading trucks/trailers
• Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner
• Ensures Food Safe requirements and SOPs are followed at all times
• Assists in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
• Compiles and adheres to HACCP, SQF and GMP standards, requirements and practices
• Reports observations of any deviation from the process/procedure or a defect
• Participates in inventory counts
• Reports any damage to warehouse equipment and property immediately
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers/carriers
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Completed High school or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Certified forklift operator
• Sit-down counterbalance (class 1)
• Stand-up reach truck (class 2)
• Walkie-Rider powered pallet jack (class 3)
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Motivated & self-starter
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Good English communication skills – both verbal and in writing
• Good mathematical skills

WORKING CONDITION

• Works in a refrigerated environment
• Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
• 8-hour workday - Morning Shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) and Afternoon Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Uniform/jacket/gloves provided
