Job summary

Sunrise Soya Foods in Delta, BC is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to ensure accurate picking and safe loading of customer orders. The role includes receiving materials, using the WMS, and supporting production lines.

The position operates in a refrigerated environment with morning and afternoon shifts (6:30 AM–3:00 PM and 2:30 PM–11:00 PM). Full-time, permanent employment with eligible benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift certified (sit-down counterbalance).
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Good English communication (verbal & written).

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer orders are picked accurately and on time.
• Ensure orders are labeled and shrink-wrapped.
• Load/unload trucks and trailers.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Follow Food Safe requirements and SOPs.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Follow HACCP, SQF and GMP standards.
• Report deviations or defects.
• Assist in inventory counts.
• Report damage to equipment or property.
• Provide prompt service to customers and carriers.

• Pay or shift range: $22 CAD to $25 CAD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are picked accurately and safely loaded onto trucks as scheduled. The incumbent is also responsible for receiving raw materials, components, finished goods, and maintenance supplies as required and utilizing WMS for all receiving activities in addition to supporting the production lines as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all customer orders are picked accurately and timely to meet scheduled delivery times
• Ensures all orders are stable, properly labelled and shrink-wrapped.
• Loading/unloading trucks/trailers
• Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner
• Ensures Food Safe requirements and SOPs are followed at all times
• Assists in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
• Compiles and adheres to HACCP, SQF and GMP standards, requirements and practices
• Reports observations of any deviation from the process/procedure or a defect
• Participates in inventory counts
• Reports any damage to warehouse equipment and property immediately
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers/carriers
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Completed High school or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Certified forklift operator
• Sit-down counterbalance (class 1)
• Stand-up reach truck (class 2)
• Walkie-Rider powered pallet jack (class 3)
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Motivated & self-starter
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Good English communication skills – both verbal and in writing
• Good mathematical skills

WORKING CONDITION

• Works in a refrigerated environment
• Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
• 8-hour workday - Morning Shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) and Afternoon Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
• Uniform/jacket/gloves provided
