Job summary

Western Truck Body in Canada is seeking a dependable Shipper/Receiver to support our manufacturing operations with accuracy and safety.

You will handle shipping, receiving, inventory, and order preparation, using forklifts and standard warehouse equipment, in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment. This role requires physical fitness and attention to detail, with forklift cert and driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience.
• Valid forklift certification with at least 3 years of forklift operating experience.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding role and lifting materials throughout the day.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pick, prepare, package, and ship customer and internal orders accurately and on time.
• Load, unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Label, organize, and track inventory using inventory management systems.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and work with vendors or carriers to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and shipping/receiving documentation.
• Ensure parts and materials are picked and delivered to production in a timely manner.
• Follow safe forklift operating procedures and warehouse safety standards.
• Build shipping crates and prepare products for safe transportation.
• Assist with company vehicle maintenance and general fleet organization.
• Perform seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, applying ice melt, and lawn care.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
• Ensure only authorized personnel enter warehouse areas.
• Follow all company health, safety, and security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
