Job summary

Western Truck Body is seeking a dependable Shipper/Receiver to support inbound and outbound shipments in our Edmonton facility. You will handle loading, unloading, inventory accuracy, and order preparation while working both indoors and outdoors.

The role requires forklift certification with 3+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and move materials throughout the day. A strong focus on accuracy and safety is essential.

• Valid forklift certification with at least 3 years of forklift operating experience.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pick, prepare, package, and ship customer and internal orders accurately and on time.
• Load, unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment.
• Label, organize, and track inventory using inventory management systems.
• Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and resolve issues with vendors or carriers.
• Maintain inventory records and shipping/receiving documentation.
• Ensure parts and materials are delivered to production in a timely manner.
• Follow forklift safety procedures and warehouse safety standards.
• Build shipping crates and prepare products for transport.
• Assist with fleet maintenance and property upkeep.
• Perform seasonal property maintenance (snow removal, ice melt, lawn care).
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and secure.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with company vehicle maintenance and general fleet organization.
• Perform seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, applying ice melt, and lawn care.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
• Ensure only authorized personnel enter warehouse areas.
• Follow all company health, safety, and security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For
