Job summary

Fort Garry Industries Winnipeg branch seeks a reliable Shipper/Receiver to handle stock receipt, packing, shipping, and inventory organization. You will work with the team to ensure accurate orders, quality service, and safe handling of materials.

Requirements include 1 year in warehouse roles, ability to lift 75–100 lbs, and willingness to work Saturdays and overtime. Forklift familiarity is a plus; driver’s license is optional.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or order picker with RF scanner.
• Lift up to 75–100 lbs and stand/walk frequently.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean abstract preferred but not required.
• Full-time availability including Saturdays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Receive stock and match quantities to shipping documents.
• Prepare outbound shipping documents.
• Package, label, and ship customer orders; verify accuracy.
• Inspect stock for wear or damage and report issues.
• Replenish inventory in designated warehouse bins.
• May receive and sort worn brake shoe cores for remanufacturing.
• May secure cargo or deliver parts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our WINNIPEG BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a SHIPPER RECEIVER to join our team!

What You Will Do:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. You will work with your branch team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:

• Accurately receive incoming product and match the quantity of items received to the shipping documents
• Prepare shipping documents for outbound products
• Package, label, and ship customer orders, verifying order accuracy before shipping
• Inspect stock items for wear or defects and report any damaged or missing stock to management.
• Replenish inventory items in designated warehouse storage bins
• May receive, sort, and organize worn brake shoe cores for shipping to our remanufacturing facility
• May secure cargo to a vehicle
• May occasionally deliver parts with FGI vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

• Must have1 year of general warehouse experience, shipping and receiving, or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun, combined with a high school diploma or other equivalency certificate
• Must be ableto meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75-100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers
• Experience operating a forklift, using a RF scanner and familiarity with aftermarket parts or heavy-duty parts is preferred but not required
• A valid driver’s license and a recent driver’s abstract demonstrating no major infractions is preferred but not required
• Must have full time availability including Saturdays and overtime to meet business demands
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
• Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
