Job summary

Sterling-Industries-4 in Vaughan is seeking a reliable Ship/Receiver to oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient transfer of goods. Responsibilities include loading and unloading shipments, entering inbound data into the ERP, picking and packing orders, creating courier waybills, scheduling freight, and maintaining warehouse organization.

Candidates should have a Grade 12 diploma, at least two years of experience, a valid G-class driver's license,

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience in a similar position.
• Valid Class G driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Certification in lift truck operation is preferred.
• Previous industry experience is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of ISO procedures is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience using various courier software programs.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment.
• Verify, accept, count, and enter all incoming goods into the ERP system, including documenting their condition.
• Pick and pack orders for delivery or transfer.
• Create courier waybills on a daily basis using courier platforms.
• Schedule freight pickups and deliveries.
• Update the status of inbound and outbound orders in the ERP system.
• Contact carrier representatives regarding the shipment and delivery of materials.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies between orders and goods, including delays, condition issues, weight variances, and quality concerns.
• Ensure the accuracy of the quantity and contents of products received and shipped in accordance with approved documentation.
• Perform regular cycle counts and monitor stock levels.
• Process returned goods in a timely manner.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Interact with customers, couriers, drivers, and other employees in a professional manner.
• Perform driving duties as required. A valid driver's licence is required.
