Job summary

State-Window-Corporation in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking a Receiving Manager for a full-time, permanent position. You will oversee all receiving activities, ensure material verification against purchase orders, and coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Shipping to maintain smooth material flow.

Responsibilities include managing stock levels, inspections for quantity and quality, and implementing receiving procedures.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a Shipping/Logistics Management role
  • Experience with facade systems such as Window Wall, Curtain Wall and Railings is an asset
  • Education in supply chain/logistics is preferred
  • Forklift certification or license is an asset
  • On-site work environment with safety procedures and PPE requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily receiving schedules to support Production and Operational requirements.
  • Ensure all incoming materials are inspected for quantity, quality and accuracy against Purchase Orders and Shipping documents.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through proper receiving procedures.
  • Create and implement receiving procedures, policies and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality and Shipping to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Monitor supplier and carrier performance and address receiving issues as required.
  • Manage stock levels, material availability, and storage requirements.
  • Track, record and analyze receiving metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with Company safety policies for all employees, carriers and visitors entering the receiving area.
  • Investigate discrepancies, damages, shortages and delivery issues and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations and material flow.
  • Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures are followed safely and efficiently.
  • Attend operational meetings and provide as needed.
  • Work closely with Shipping Team and coordinate with drivers, as required.

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000

About The Role

The Receiving Manager is responsible for ensuring all incoming materials, products, and shipments are received, inspected, documented and processed accurately and efficiently to support production requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related education preferred; and
  • Forklift License is an asset.

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in a Shipping / Logistics Management role.
  • Experience in facade systems such as Window Wall, Curtain Wall and Railings is considered an asset.

Work Location

  • Plant warehouse, manufacturing environment;
  • On site work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks that require knowledge of and adherence to basic safety procedures and precautions;
  • Promote Health & Safety in the workplace;
  • Work environment involves wearing PPE; and
  • G license is required.
