Job summary

Tundra Process Solutions Ltd. in Edmonton is seeking a Warehouse Receiver/Loader to ensure safe, accurate flow of industrial goods and timely stocking at the branch.

You will receive, verify, and input goods into the inventory system, prep orders, and ship in accordance with customer requirements. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years forklift experience, a valid forklift license, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school education; valid forklift license/certification; valid driver’s license and must be insurable.
• Minimum 2 years forklift experience; previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Receives goods into inventory and verifies contents against documents; inputs into the computer tracking system.
• Picks and packs goods for shipment; prepares packages per packing slip.
• Ensures goods are shipped per customer and branch requirements.
• Maintains Bills of Lading; books and arranges carriers for timely delivery.
• Stocks shelves with received shipments; operates forklift and keeps area clean and organized.
• Files packing slips and prints service/production documents as required.
• Completes a daily forklift log.
• Participates in regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Handles emergency orders and inter-branch transfers.

Job description

Responsible for the safe flow of industrial goods in and within the branch or warehouse. Ensures branches are supplied as necessary by shipping and receiving goods, checking for accuracy, and appropriately processing orders. Supports the warehouse by stocking shelves, performing housekeeping activities within the work area, and operating a forklift in support of the movement of goods.

The Role

• Receives goods into inventory, including unpacking and verifying contents against appropriate documents; ensures received goods are accurately input into the computer tracking system
• Prepares packages to be sent out in accordance with information on the packing slip, picks and packs goods for shipment as per customer and branch orders.
• Ensures goods are shipped in accordance with organizational best practices and customer requirements
• Maintain Bills of Lading, book and arrange carriers for timely delivery of goods.
• Stock shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting/organization system and equipment, including forklifts
• Files packing slips from suppliers and co‑workers; prints service and production documents as required
• Completes a daily forklift log
• Ensures the warehouse is always maintained in a clean and organized fashion
• Participate with regularly scheduled counts to ensure inventory is maintained and accurate.
• Handle emergency orders
• Inter branch transfers
• Operates forklift and activities within the work area in a safe manner.

The Candidate

• Education: High School; valid Forklift license/certification; valid driver’s license and must be insurable
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years forklift experience; previous experience in a similar role.
