Richards Packaging Inc. is seeking a dependable Shipper & Receiver to manage inbound and outbound inventory in our Edmonton facility. You will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team and be responsible for data entry, packing, and order fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
  • Committed to Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
  • 1–3 years warehousing & logistics experience.
  • Safe operation of forklift, reach truck, pallet lift.
  • Strong computer skills with ERP/inventory systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, ship, and process inventory in the facility.
  • Enter and maintain warehouse data, KPIs, cycle counts, and receiving info.
  • Generate and print pick/pack documentation for orders.
  • Adhere to Food Safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect incoming packaging and report damaged goods.
  • Unpack products and organize shipments for receipt.
  • Verify quantities and IDs against orders; report discrepancies.
  • Ensure packing slips match purchase orders and goods.
  • Store received goods and move inventory within the warehouse.
  • Pick and package orders securely to minimize damage.
  • Count products and record lot/serial numbers; recount when needed.
  • Stay current on new products and promotions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and dispose waste safely.
  • Cap bottles as needed.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Shipper & Receiver will be essential in receiving, shipping, and processing inventory within our facility. We are looking for a positive, energetic individual who enjoys collaborating with others and is eager to contribute to a successful team.

The successful applicant will:

  • Accurately enter and maintain warehouse data, including KPIs, cycle count records, and receiving information, within company systems.
  • Generate and print pick/pack documentation to support order fulfillment activities.
  • Adhere to all Food Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect incoming packaging and report damaged goods to the shipping carrier and Warehouse Manager.
  • Unpack products and organize shipments for receipt.
  • Compare quantities and identification numbers of goods against orders for accuracy; report discrepancies.
  • Ensure physical products match packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Properly store received goods and facilitate inventory movements within the warehouse.
  • Pick orders accurately and package products securely to minimize damage during transit.
  • Count products, accounting for quantities and lot/serial numbers, and enter results into corresponding sheets.
  • Perform secondary counts when discrepancies occur and report issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Stay current on new products and promotions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including emptying garbage and disposing of waste safely.
  • Occasionally cap bottles as needed.

We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:

  • Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
  • Commitment to following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
  • Proven experience in warehousing and logistics (1-3 years preferred).
  • Skilled in the safe operation of a forklift, reach truck, and pallet lift.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate ERP, inventory management, and warehouse-related systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
