Fort Garry Industries (FGI) is Canada's trusted truck and trailer parts provider with 100+ years in service. Our Edmonton East branch seeks a Shipper/Receiver to manage incoming stock, packing and shipping orders, and maintaining organized warehouse operations.

You will handle RF scanners, stock replenishment, and urgent shipments while delivering excellent customer service and safety. Overtime and some Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general warehouse experience, shipping/receiving or order picking.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs and stand/walk frequently.
• RF scanner/barcode gun experience; forklift familiarity is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean abstracts preferred but not required.
• Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive stock and match quantity to shipping documents.
• Prepare outbound shipping documents and label packages.
• Package, verify order accuracy, and ship customer orders.
• Inspect stock for wear or defects and report issues.
• Replenish inventory and organize warehouse storage.
• May sort return cores for remanufacturing and secure cargo.
• Occasionally deliver parts using FGI vehicle; other duties as assigned.

Our EDMONTON EAST BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a SHIPPER RECEIVER to join our team!

What You Will Do:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. You will work with your branch team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:

• Accurately receive incoming product and match the quantity of items received to the shipping documents
• Prepare shipping documents for outbound products
• Package, label, and ship customer orders, verifying order accuracy before shipping
• Inspect stock items for wear or defects and report any damaged or missing stock to management.
• Replenish inventory items in designated warehouse storage bins
• May receive, sort, and organize worn brake shoe cores for shipping to our remanufacturing facility
• May secure cargo to a vehicle
• May occasionally deliver parts with FGI vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

• Must have1 year of general warehouse experience, shipping and receiving, or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun, combined with a high school diploma or other equivalency certificate
• Must be ableto meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75-100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers
• Experience operating a forklift, using a RF scanner and familiarity with aftermarket parts or heavy-duty parts is preferred but not required
• A valid driver’s license and a recent driver’s abstract demonstrating no major infractions is preferred but not required
• Occasionally required to work Saturdays and overtime to meet business demands
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
• Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
