Title: Shipper

Department: Shipping & Logistics

What Would You Do?

Palliser Furniture Ltd. is currently seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Shipper. This position requires an experienced, knowledgeable, motivated Warehouse Shipper to be responsible for ensuring accurate and seamless outgoing shipments.

The Duties And Responsibilities Of This Position Would Include

  • Work with team members to load trailers with specific orders for shipping and receiving products for production.
  • Receive and organize product from production and packing teams for trailers using RF scanners.
  • Load and unload trailers.
  • Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Regular housecleaning on the shipping floor and loading docks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Contribute to producing high-quality, luxury furniture.
  • Coordinate workload and ask for assistance when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Do You Bring?

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Valid Forklift and power jack license is considered an asset.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with RF Guns is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills with verbal and written fluency in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with proven track record as a team player.
  • Ability to with independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing process and quality standards.
  • Physically able to stand/walk for 8 hours a day, lift and manipulate objects ranging from 36-90 kg (80-200 lbs).
