Job description

Carfair Composites is a leader in fiber-reinforced plastic design and composite technologies. Carfair supplies high-quality fiberglass components to OEMs in industries such as agriculture, automotive, construction, transportation, food processing, and medical.

We are seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver to join our Midnight Shift team (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday - Thursday). The successful candidate will undergo 3-5 weeks of training on the Day Shift to ensure a smooth transition.

Position Summary:

This role involves maintaining accurate inventory at designated locations, moving inventory to/from receiving and shipping docks, packaging, and loading.

What You Will Do:
  • Load, unload, and move products within the department and onto/from trucks
  • Wrap and secure products following safety and quality procedures
  • Build crates and shipping packages using hand tools
  • Inspect products for quality and report defects
  • Follow safety, housekeeping, and operational rules
  • Ensure shipping crates and pallets are loaded and secured properly
  • Maintain inventory control by counting materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
  • Coordinate with Material Handlers/Drivers to prioritize shipping and warehouse needs
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Report non-conformities to supervisors
  • Use manufacturing systems to generate shipping bills
  • Support Lean and 5S initiatives to improve processes

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
