Job summary

The Adventure Group in Whistler, BC, is seeking a Shift Lead - Server who will take ownership of the floor and guide service from start to finish. You will lead by example, motivate the team, and ensure consistent guest experiences while supporting fellow servers.

This hands-on leadership role offers $21.00 per hour plus tips, 50% off food & beverage, and a suite of perks including accommodation discounts, wellness offers, and opportunities to grow within Whistler’s dynamic hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of serving experience.
• Previous leadership or shift lead experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service and guest experience.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-focused under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the floor and ensure smooth sailing throughout every service
• Lead by example, keeping the team motivated, engaged, and accountable
• Support servers with questions, challenges, and service recovery
• Find practical solutions and stay calm under pressure
• Help manage reservations and ensure the flow of the restaurant is well coordinated
• Support the training and development of servers and support team members
• Help create, schedule, and run team trainings
• Connect with managers after service to share feedback on people, product, and opportunities for improvement
• Foster a fun, supportive, and engaged team culture
• Recognize team members for great work and help them understand the impact they have on the business
• Ensure clear communication around comps, spills, discounts, and other service issues

What You Bring

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
