Job summary

Weyerhaeuser's Parallam manufacturing plant on Annacis Island in Delta, BC, seeks an experienced Shift Supervisor with a proven track record in safety, quality, reliability and people development. This full-time, exempt role operates in a highly collaborative union environment and requires coordinating with union representatives to foster a respectful workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary 4-year university degree or 3-5 years of experience leading teams.
• Experience leading teams in a unionized manufacturing environment, including collective agreements knowledge.
• Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shift operations to meet safety, quality, environmental and production targets.
• Coordinate people and equipment with production scheduler to meet schedules.
• Develop and mentor team members to enhance performance.
• Support formal performance management and labor relations within the unionized setting.
