Job summary

GRETA Arcade Bar Street Food in Vancouver is seeking a Part-Time Shift Leader to help run our lively venue. You will split time between your regular duties and shifts that lead staff, ensuring smooth operations, high standards, and excellent guest service.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in hospitality, strong leadership, teamwork, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for late nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in your primary role.
• Ability to energize and motivate a team.
• Excellent socializing and love working with people.
• Organized in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• 1-3 years supervisory/leadership in bar/restaurant/hospitality is a plus.
• Excellent customer service with a friendly demeanor.

• Adaptable to work effectively as a team member and to late nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Alternate between your regular scheduled shifts in your primary position and shifts dedicated solely to shift leading.
• Ensure a high standard of product knowledge and service for food and beverage programs and guest services.
• Provide outstanding customer service, engaging with guests to enhance their experience and address concerns.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during your shift, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the work area, maintaining a hygienic environment.
• Work closely with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to create the best guest experience.
• Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during your shift, employing effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Join our dynamic team as a Shift Leader, where you’ll extend beyond your primary job duties to take on leadership responsibilities. You will be scheduled leadership shifts to oversee the smooth operation of our venue during your shifts and be responsible for coordinating and supervising staff activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Your role is pivotal in creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests, while fostering a positive and productive work environment for team members.

Compensation

• $17.85 per hour
