Job summary

The Mustard Seed Society is seeking a Housing Focused Shelter Team Lead in Kamloops, BC. You will oversee shelter operations, lead a team of Shelter Workers, and ensure professional, person-centered support for guests.

Qualifications

• Diploma and/or certificate in Human Services, Social Work, or relevant fields is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of frontline experience in social services.
• Experience with mental health issues and addictions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Shelter Workers and oversee shift teams.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate coverage for staff absences and manage communications.
• Handle intake, assessments, and referrals for shelter guests.
• Maintain case management for a caseload of guests and support housing goals.
