Job summary

Colonial Group in Manitoba seeks a Coating Sheeter Operator to set up and monitor color application to paper in our production line. You will follow safety procedures and work under the Department Manager and Coating Team Leader to meet production requirements.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and mechanical aptitude. Night shifts, Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 pm to 6:45 am. No prior experience required; training provided.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Coating Sheeter Operator works under the Department Manager and Coating Team Leader. The Sheeter Operator is responsible for setting up and monitoring the application of colour to paper in the production process, ensuring production requirements are met, and any issues are communicated effectively. Follow all safety procedures, understand all safety equipment and adhere to the company policies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform quality checks and ensure continued quality during production
• Effectively communicate and address all quality concerns
• Accurately record all production information and paperwork in an organized manner
• Assist in setting up and tearing down the coater when required
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Perform other departmental duties or tasks as required

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management capabilities with the ability to multitask
• Self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
