Covertime Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our on-site construction team in Abbotsford, BC. You will read blueprints, design duct systems, and fabricate sheet metal components to meet building codes and project specifications.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, a secondary school diploma, and a valid driver’s licence. Work is performed on-site at various locations with no option for remote work and potential job-site hazards to manage.

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or related work.

Responsabilidades

• Calculate heating and cooling loads.
• Design duct systems.
• Manufacture and assemble different prefabricated fiberglass elements.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction.
• Measure and mark sheet metal according to template.
• Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
• Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces.
• Schedule work.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification.
• Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
• Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment.
• Fit and join sheet metal parts.
• Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
