Job summary

Kibbi is seeking a skilled construction professional in Oakville, Ontario for on-site work. You will read blueprints, prepare layouts, and cut and join timber and related materials for residential renovations and new builds.

Work involves building foundations, framing, installing windows/doors, and maintaining site safety. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed for site travel.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• 3–5 years of construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
