Job summary

Calidriscarbon in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario, is seeking two full-time Equipment Operators to join the Public Works team. The role covers winter maintenance, road and property upkeep, debris collection, and support for water and wastewater operations.

Two positions are available under CUPE Local 127. On-call is required. Attractive group benefits after 3 months and OMERS pension plan participation are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Ontario DZ license required.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe work habits.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for winter maintenance and snow removal.
• Maintain roadways, sidewalks, buildings and properties.
• Collect debris and garbage; assist with water and wastewater operations.

Position Overview

TheEquipment Operator will join the Public Works Department and report directly tothe Public Works Superintendent. The Equipment Operator will be part of a teamresponsible for the operation of heavy equipment including winter maintenance &snow removal, the maintenance of roadways, sidewalks buildings & properties,collecting debris & garbage, assisting with the operations of water &wastewater and general labour duties.

Theemployee may be required on an ongoing basis to attend applicable training,workshops, seminars and courses at the discretion of the Employer in order tofacilitate job knowledge and performance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

• Minimum Grade12 or equivalent required
• Valid Provinceof Ontario Class DZ license
