Sobkow Technologies Inc. is hiring a Settlement Facilitator to deliver quality settlement and orientation services to clients.

Reporting to the Settlement & Integration Manager, you will connect individuals and families with community resources and programs. You will manage a diverse caseload, facilitate information sessions, develop partnerships with service providers, and maintain accurate records for reporting.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage client caseloads and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services.
  • Ability to work with various levels of government.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
  • Creative thinking and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Possess a Manitoba driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Provide clear background checks and driver Abstract where required.
  • Ability to collaborate with management, staff and community partners.

Responsabilités

  • Provide settlement assistance to individuals and families through orientation, referrals and connections to community resources.
  • Facilitate information sessions for individuals and groups.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programs and services to support clients and referrals.
  • Develop partnerships with service providers to link clients to community services.
  • Manage a caseload of clients with diverse needs.
  • Stay informed on resources, trends and gaps in the community.
  • Assign work considering case complexity and workload.
  • Empower clients toward self-sufficiency while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Maintain accurate service records and provide reports to management.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere within teams to achieve goals and quality service.
  • Engage in professional development to remain current in the field.
  • Provide operational support as required.

Description du poste

Reporting to the Settlement & Integration Manager, a Settlement Facilitator is responsible for ensuring quality service in settlement and orientation services to clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide settlement assistance to individuals and families i.e. orientation, information, referrals, connect with community etc.
  • Facilitate information sessions for individual and client groups
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of programs and services available at WIS and in the community to support clients to allow appropriate referrals
  • Develop partnerships with service providers to effectively link clients with appropriate community services
  • Manage a caseload of clients with diverse needs
  • Stay informed on current resources, trends, changes and services gaps in the community
  • Consider complexity of cases and individual workload to determine assignments
  • Empower clients to become self-sufficient and respect professional boundaries
  • Maintain accurate records of services and provide reporting to management as required
  • Create an inspiring, engaging and collaborative atmosphere within teams and other WIS departments to achieve collective goals and deliver quality service to clients
  • Engage in professional development activities to remain current in the field
  • Provide management with operational support as required
Qualifications

  • Creative thinking and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
  • Strong proficiency and ability to communicate in English
  • Possess a valid Manitoba Driver's Licence and access to reliable transportation
  • First Aid Certification
  • Provide a clear Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver Abstract; where required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management, employees, and community stakeholders in a diverse environment
