Job Overview:
- Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our team and lead the development and optimization of enterprise-wide ServiceNow solutions.
- This role is critical in ensuring effective service delivery through robust ITSM processes and comprehensive ITOM capabilities, including Discovery and Service Mapping.
- You will work closely with infrastructure, operations, and application teams to build scalable, integrated solutions that enable visibility, automation, and service intelligence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, CMDB, and Service Mapping modules.
- Build and manage configurations such as business rules, client/server scripts, workflows, UI policies, notifications, and catalog items.
- Implement and maintain Discovery using both out-of-the-box and custom probe/sensor scripts to populate and maintain a healthy CMDB.
- Ensure CSDM compliance across service, application, and infrastructure data models.
- Create and maintain service maps that accurately reflect the relationships between infrastructure, applications, and business services.
- Lead integration efforts with external systems and tools using REST, SOAP, and other APIs.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes and optimizations.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and ensure system performance and availability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams in both Agile and traditional project environments.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation and contribute to the development of internal standards and best practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for high-severity incident response when required.
Required Qualifications:- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and configuration.
- 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow ITOM, including Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB administration.
- Demonstrated expertise with JavaScript, REST/SOAP integrations, and common integration protocols ( SNMP, SSH, WMI).
- Strong knowledge of the CSDM framework and experience building or maintaining CMDB data models.
- Experience with Asset and Configuration Management (HAM/SAM) is an asset.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflows in complex environments.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with ITSM tools and third-party platforms.
- Comfortable working across both Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
- ServiceNow certifications (at least one of the following is required):
- Certified Application Developer
- Certified System Administrator
- Certified Implementation Specialist (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, or Service Mapping)
Preferred Skills:- Experience with Demand Management, GRC, or Event Management modules.
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira) and working in a DevOps or CI/CD context.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-paced environments.
