Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hands-on development on the ServiceNow platform.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, HTML5, CSS, and ServiceNow capabilities.
• Experience developing and customizing workflows and modules (CSM/ITSM/ITOM).
• U.S. Citizenship required (eligible for Public Trust clearance).
• Local to Washington, D.C./DMV area and able to work East Coast hours (8 AM–5 PM EST).

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and expanding the platform across multiple core modules including CSM, ITSM, and ITOM. responsibilities:

• Lead custom development of ServiceNow modules, workflows, and custom-scoped applications using JavaScript/Glide, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
• Architect, configure, and maintain platform modules including CSM (highest priority), ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, and HRSD.
• Design, build, and optimize Business Rules, UI Actions, ACLs, and automated workflows in accordance with platform best practices.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in daily standups, refining stories, and maintaining thorough system architecture documentation.
• Assist with platform integrations via APIs, supporting release management, environment configurations, and unit testing procedures.
• Identify risks, participate in code/development reviews, and contribute technical feedback to mid/senior engineering leadership.

qualifications:

• 1-2 years of technical hands-on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
• Solid working knowledge of JavaScript, Glide API, HTML5, CSS, and ServiceNow platform capabilities.
• Hands-on experience developing and customizing platform workflows and modules (CSM, ITSM, or ITOM).
• U.S. Citizenship is required (must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to start).
• Must be local to the Washington, D.C. / DMV area and available to work East Coast core hours (8 AM – 5 PM EST).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Official ServiceNow Certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer).
• Specialized experience in Customer Service Management (CSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or IT Operations Management (ITOM).
• Familiarity with ServiceNow AI capabilities (Now Assist), third-party LLM API integrations, or Automated Test Framework (ATF).
