JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Service Technician - Ottawa to join our growing team.
Become a member of our Customer Care team by applying for the position of Field Service Technician. JELD-WEN Windows and Doors offer a competitive compensation package complete with health and retirement benefits. As a Field Service Technician, you would be part of the Customer Care team of JELD-WEN and report to the Field Service Manager.
The position is centered on providing exceptional service to our Dealers, Home Builders, Contractors, and their customers, by repairing or replacing window and door products as required. You will be part of a dynamic team of individuals committed to providing an exceptional service to our customers.
The typical duties and competencies for the Field Service Technician would include:
Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices
Be able to accurately inspect JELD-WEN window and door products to find root causes of service issue
Perform service work on various products
Clean up service site
Operate company service vehicle in a safe and considerate manner
Maintain service vehicle in proper and safe working order
Maintain tools in proper working order
Maintain warehouse inventory and manage parts delivery and return/discard
Provide complete reports from service or inspection jobs
Communicate and document changed or cancelled appointments
Identify and report reoccurring problems or issues such as product defects or process issues
