Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a Service Plumber (4th year – Journeyman) to join our Service Division in Edmonton, AB. The role reports to the Service Operations Supervisor and requires hands-on plumbing expertise, strong customer service, and the ability to diagnose and repair commercial systems.

Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, small re-pipe projects, drain work, and on-call emergency rotations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in plumbing or mechanical service environments, able to diagnose, repair and maintain plumbing systems and gas-fired appliances.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on commercial plumbing and heating equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems.
• Organize and execute small re-pipe, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
• Perform routine and emergency drain cleaning and plumbing tasks.
• Complete daily service reports documenting maintenance and repair activities.
