Job summary

The Bayview Group is seeking a Red Seal Mechanic to join our team as a Service Foreman at our Jacksonville, New Brunswick location. The role oversees day-to-day planning and supervision of the Service Team, ensuring quality maintenance and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will also perform vehicle repairs as required and drive a culture of excellent customer service across six NB locations. A full benefits package is offered upon hire.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed Red Seal Mechanic.
• A minimum of 3 years of truck dealership experience.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Cooperative, team-oriented attitude with a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign all vehicle repairs to personnel; inspect work in progress and on completion.
• Instruct and train employees on maintenance procedures, policies, and safety.
• Report work status and special problems to the Service Manager.
• Communicate with customers and staff to ensure excellent customer service.
• Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate mechanical problems; assist with complex repairs.

Job description

The Bayview Group is looking for a Red Seal Mechanic to join our team as a Service Foreman at our Jacksonville, New Brunswick location. Bayview Trucks & Equipment Ltd. is a Full Service, Parts and Sales dealer forKenworthTrucks andKUBOTA farm and construction equipment, with 6 locations in New Brunswick (Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, Woodstock, Bathurst and Miramichi) and two in Nova Scotia, New Glasgow and Dartmouth.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Foreman oversees and assists in the day-day planning, direction, and supervision of the Service Team; ensuring quality maintenance standards are adhered to and processed within manufacturer and company guidelines.

When required the Service Foreman also performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and assign all vehicle repairs to personnel, inspecting work in progress and upon completion.
• Instruct and train employees in proper maintenance procedures, policies/procedures, and job safety.
• Report work status and special problems to the Service Manager.
• Communicate with customers, shift personnel, and coworkers to establish and maintain effective working relationships and ensure excellent Customer Service.
• Use Diagnostic Equipment to evaluate mechanical problems
• Work alongside a technician when required to aid with problem-solving of a difficult repair.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience/Skillset:

• Fully licensed Red Seal Mechanic

• Strong technical computer skills with an emphasis on Windows based programs and MS Excel & Word
• A minimum of 3 years of truck dealership experience.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills with the ability to prioritize and focus in a fast-paced environment

• Cooperative and team-oriented personality with a professional positive attitude.
• Experience with PACCAR Systems or Karmak is an asset.
