The Opportunity

Venturis is looking for an enthusiastic Service Desk Technician to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As the Service Desk Technician you will provide Tier 1-2 support for our end users.

As the Service Desk Technician your key responsibilities will include :

• Review technical support tickets, emails, and calls to the IT department
• Provide feedback and system status updates to users and log requests into the problem-tracking system
• Monitor and report calls and call metrics from the time they are opened until the time they are closed while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Provide basic PC troubleshooting : manage power options, control panel, and image PCs, as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and server access problems for end-users
• Assist in collecting information for equipment inventory

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies :

• Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent in a related field
• Knowledge of networking, routing, firewalls, and security
• Understanding of ITIL Methodologies
• Relevant certifications (CompTiA A+, ITIL Foundation) are an asset
• Prior experience with Lean Six Sigma is an asset

The base pay range for this role is : $50,000 to $60,000.

This role is onsite based in Coquitlam, BC with the possibility of changing to hybrid after successful completion of the probationary period.
